yes ,as long as the molecule ia made up of atoms of the same element. Eg: oxygen , hydrogen ,chlorine, helium ,etc. The atom is the basic unit of matter and a molecule is made up of multiple atoms in case of Homo atomic molecules such as Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Chlorine etc.

I think yes. Because if we take the molecule iron or any metal it mostly occurs in the atomic to itself. For example: if we take copper we write the molecule as Cu.
