What is the difference between simple harmonic motion and oscillatory motion? Could you also give examples of motions which are oscillatory but not simple ...

all parallelograms are quadrilateral but all quadrilaterals are not parallelograms.

Similarly All S.H.M. ARE PERIODIC MOTION but ALL PERIODIC MOTION ARE NOT S.H.M.

a motion repeated in equal interval of time is periodic motion. Examples of periodic motion

rocking chair

A bouncing ball

Vibrating tuning fork

A swing in motion

Earth in its orbit

Water wave

Pendulum

Oscillating spring

Molecular vibrations

S.H.M. is a periodic or oscillatory motion in which the restoring force is directly proportional to the displacement and acts in a direction opposite to that of displacement.

In s.h.m. there is always a resorting force due to which this kind of motion occurs. For eg in case of sound waves which are in s.h.m. the medium vibrating is always under restoring force due to pressure difference. But when earth revolves around the sun (which is a periodic motion) there is no restoring force. There is only gravitational force which provides the necessary centripetal force for the circular motion. Earth repeats it's motion after fixed interval so we call it periodic motion but there is no restoring force so we can't call it s.h.m.

Yes

A AC motors can be oscillatory.

Because of occulation of AC current.

hope it helps...
