Answer ⇒ No. A tug of war be even won on a friction-less surface.
Explanation ⇒ On a Friction less surface there will no friction since the coefficient of the Friction at that point is zero.
Since, there will be no Frictional Force, No acceleration will be produced because acceleration is always produced by the Retarding force which is commonly called as the Friction.
If there will be No friction, then there will be no acceleration produced by the rope in tug of War. Due to which The Peoples cannot force or pull the rope and they will skid and dashed against each other.
Therefore, A tug of war can not happen on a friction-less surface because the rope will not remain tight as soon as it is pulled.
