No, an inverted telescope won't work as a microscope.

1) Since, a telescope has very large aperture objective lens to capture most of the light, and also a large focal length.

2) But on the other hand, a microscope needs both the lenses i.e. objective and eye piece with small focal lengths to enlarge the image.

3) Hence, inverted telescope won't work as microscope

No, when a telescope is inverted it wouldn't work as a microscope.

Explanation:

  • When making a microscope the aperture of the lens and eyepiece should be small and the focal length of the object and eyepiece should be small.
  • The aperture, eyepiece and objects that are seen through telescope are all larger in nature.
  • Hence, when it is inverted the aperture remains the same and the eyepiece is also not disturbed.
  • So, it might show things smaller as compared to normal but it would not act as a microscope at all.
