(x - 4)(2x + 3) = 2 {x}^{2}  \\  = 2 {x}^{2}  + 3x - 8x - 12 = 2 {x}^{2}  \\ 3x - 8x - 12 = 0 \\  =  - 5x - 12 = 0 \\ =   - 5x = 12 \\  = x =  -  \frac{12}{5}

Answer:

-13/5 or we can say that -2.6

Step-by-step explanation:

(x-4)(2x+3)=2x^2

2x^2+3x-8x-12=2x^2

cancel 2x^2 both side

3x-8x-12=1

-5x=1+12

-5x=13

-x=13/5

x=-13/5

x=-2.6
