heya
here are some tips on sketching...
1) use professional pencils like hb, graphite and etc.. which are used especially for sketching...
2) draw in sketch book for good smudging..
3) sketch using different styles like cross hatching, shading and etc which makes the sketch even more beautiful...
4) shade for better results like smudge in shadow areas...

Here is your answer

Now, I am giving you some sketching skills which are followed by me

=> different types of drawing needs different shades and different style to be done beautifully.

=> you should use only 2B pencils for this...
Because you should start with easy one and then you will have command in drawing /sketching by every pencil

=> you should have some advices from google that at what place you have to sketch lightly and slowly..

=>first draw a rough sketch and then enhance that by sketching...
