unit place digit let y & tens place digit let be x
then number will be ( 10x + y )
according to 1st statement-
x + 5 = 2y ( because x is 5 less. if we add 5 in x then only it will be equal to 2y)
so x - 2y = -5 -------------- (1) equation
according to 2nd statement-
(10x + y) + (10y+ x) = 176 ( because digit interchanged)
so 11x + 11y = 176 divided by 11 both side
x + y = 16 ------------------(2) equation
solve 1&2 equation
x= 9 and y = 7 so digit (10x+y) = 10×9 + 7 = 97

Let's take the LCM of 8 and 6 to find the no of girls and boys in the school. i.e =24 then total no.of students in the school is = 24+24=48

Now, total students residing in the hostel={(24×1/8)girls + (24×5/6)boys}= 3 girls + 20 boys . We can say that , 4 boys don't residing in the hostel out of 24 boys and

4 boys don't residing in the hostel out of 48 students. i. e = 4/48= 1/12 boys are not residing in the hostel out of total students in the school
