can anybody explain me - federal system of government? how it works ? and its advantages over unitay form of government?? please....

federal system of govt is a system in which power is divided into various levels . India is federal system of govt. In federal system different lvl have their own they are not subordinate to union gov't.

DEFINITION:
A federal government is a system that divides up power between a strong national government and smaller local governments. 

HOW IT WORKS:

The government has three branches: the executive, the legislative and the judiciary.Indian President is the head of the state and exercises his or her power directly or through officers subordinate to him. Lok Sabha (the lower house) and Rajya Sabha (the upper house) form the legislative branch.

ADVANTAGES:
government has several advantages, such as protecting us from tyranny, dispersing power, increasing citizen participation, and increasing effectiveness, and disadvantages, such as supposedly protecting slavery and segregation, increasing inequalities between states, states blocking national .

How does unitary government differ from a federal government?

In a unitary government, the power is held by one central authority but in a federal government, the power is divided between national government or federal government and local governments or states government.
