(a-b)^2=a^2+b^2-2ab

therefore

√11^2 + √5^2 - 2×√11×√5

11+5-2√55

16-2√55

(2)(8-√55)

hope it helps you..

Answer:

= 2(8-√55)

Step-by-step explanation:

(√11 - √5)^2

= (√11)^2 - 2(√11)•(√5) + ( √5)^2

[ (a-b)^2 = a^2 -2ab + b^2]

= 11 - 2(√11 × √5) + 5

= 11 - 2(√55) + 5

= 11 - 2√55 + 5

=11+5-2√55

=16-2√55

=2(8-√55)
