1. 35+(-40)+(-60)

= -5+-60

= -65

2. 7/3 + 5/4 + 7/12

= lcm = 12

= 28+15+7/12

= 50/12 =

= 25/6

3. (-400) - (-368)

= -32

4. 71/14 - 17/7

= lcm = 14

= 71-34/14

= 37/14

5. (-4) × (-5)× 13

= 20×13

= 260

6. 25/7 × 6/5

= Now 25 is divisible by 5 so

5×6/7 = 30/7

7. 8×1=8 9×1=9 12×1=12

8×2=16 9×2=18 12×2=24

8×3=24 9×3=27 12×3=36

8×4= 32 9×4=36 12×4=48

8×5=40 9×5=45 12×5=60

8×6=48 9÷6=54 12×6=72

8×7=56 9×7=63 12×7=84

8×8=64 9×8=72 12×8=96

8×9=72 9×9=81 12×9=108

8×10=80 9×10=90 12×10=120

13×1=13

13×2=26

13×3=39

13×4=52

13×5=65

13×6=78

13×7=91

Find the Sum

a)   35 + (-40) + (-60)

  = 35 - 40 - 60

  = -65

b)   2\frac{1}{3} + 1\frac{1}{4} + \frac{7}{12}

  = \frac{7}{3} + \frac{5}{4} + \frac{7}{12}

  = \frac{28}{12} + \frac{15}{12} + \frac{7}{12}

  = \frac{50}{12}

  = 4\frac{1}{6}

Subtract

a)   (-368) from (400)

  = (-400) - (-368)

  = -400 + 368

  = -32

b)   5\frac{1}{14} - 2\frac{3}{7}

  = \frac{71}{14} - \frac{17}{7}

  = \frac{71}{14} - \frac{34}{14}

  = \frac{37}{14}

  = 2\frac{9}{14}

Multiply (Find the product)

a)   (-4) × (-5) × 13

  = -4 × -5 × 13

  = 20 × 13

  = 260

b)   3\frac{4}{7} × 1\frac{1}{5}

  = \frac{25}{7} × \frac{6}{5}

  = \frac{150}{35}

  = 4\frac{2}{7}
