Another example of irony in the story would be “With all the force of her little body, she drove the hayfork at the eyes and with one prong went in- right in- while it’s pair scratched past on the horny cheek… He would die.”

Answer: There are more than one irony in the story "the blue bead".

Explanation:

  • First irony

During the story, when one of the character Sibia was collecting paper grass. on the way returning to her home she saw a gujjar women who was being attacked by a crocodile. Irony was that when she saw crocodile there was not any fear of crocodile but she was worried of the fact that the two vessels will get destroyed or wasted which were used to fill water. this was mainly because they were so poor that she cannot see a water vessel to get wasted.

  • 2nd irony

Other irony in the story was that when she met her mother she did not tell her about the crocodile instead she told her just about the bead she had found earlier that day.
