Initial velocity = 4 m/s

Final velocity = 8 m/s

Time taken = 2 sec

i) Acceleration of object = Final velocity - Initial velocity / Time

a = 8 - 4 / 2

a = 2 m/s^2

From 2nd eq of motion ,

S = ut + 1/2 at^2

S = 4×2 + 1/2 × 2 × 2 ×2

S = 8 + 4

S = 12 m

ii) Time = 5 sec

Then velocity = u + at

v = 4 + 2×5

v = 4 + 10

v = 14 m/s

iii) Velocity after next 5 sec = 14 + 2×5

= 14 + 10 = 24 m/s

iv)Distance covered in 5 sec = 14 × 5 =

70m

v) Distance covered in next 5 sec = 24 × 5 = 120m
