Step-by-step explanation:

Fill the 7 gallon bucket 3 times so it'll give you (7×3)=21 gallons

Then fill the 4 gallon bucket four times from the seven gallon bucket and you'll get (4×4)=16

Whatever is left at last is 21-16=5 gallons

\bigstar Question:

  • You want to measure out exactly five gallons of water from a running water pump. However, you only have a four gallon bucket anda seven gallon bucket, and neither bucket has any measurement marks:
  • How can you accomplish your task?

\bigstarTo find:

  • How to complete the task?

\bigstar Solution:

  • Since you have not given that we have another bucket or not, I will assume that we have another bucket.
  • First, we will take 4 galloons of water, 3 times, in another bucket.
  • So we will get quantity of water as 12 galloons.
  • Now pour this 12 galloons to the 7 galloons bucket, so the 7 galloons bucket will be filled and 5 gallons will be left in the bucket.

\rightarrow This is the simplest and the easiest way I suppose, because no more bucket is given, with very less work.
