Answer:

)A laboratory thermometer, which is colloquially known as the lab thermometer, is used for measuring temperatures other than the human body temperature. It ranges from -10˚C to 110˚C. Laboratory thermometers are designed for lab purposes such as checking boiling point, freezing point, or temperature of other substances.

)Kink plays an important role in thermometers. It prevents the rapid falling of the mercury back into the bulb of the thermometer. Hence we can measure the temperature of the body accurately and conveniently even if the thermometer is taken out from the body.

)When a material is heated, the kinetic energy of that material increases and its atoms and molecules move about more. This means that each atom will take up more space due to its movement so the material will expand. ... Some metals expand more than others due to differences in the forces between the atoms / molecules.

)After we are exhausted we take the glucose solution to regain the energy.Whereas the carbohydrates, when consumed, have to be digested into glucose in order to produce energy. However, glucose when taken directly, need not to be digested. Hence it acts as an instant source of energy.

)Cows are ruminants and have four stomach chambers enabling them to digest grass. Humans aren't the only creatures who have difficulty digesting grass – dogs sometimes eat grass when they are feeling nauseous. It helps them to vomit as they are unableto digest this substance.

)Inside the cocoon and the chrysalis, the caterpillar is transforming into a new creature. ... The fluid breaks down the old caterpillar body into cells called imaginal cells. Imaginal cells are undifferentiated cells, which means they can become any type of cell. Many of these imaginal cells are used to form the new body.

)It is so because steel can easily get very hot but cup cannot get such hot.

.Converting light energy to heat energy: Solar cookers concentrate sunlight onto a receiver such as a cooking pan. ... Pots and pans used on solar cookers should be matte black in color to maximize the absorption.
