Fibres:-

synthetic fibres are made up of molecules called polymers. Polymers are you molecules, usually consisting of long chains made from thousand of similar a small molecules called monomers.natural fibres( cotton, wool, Silk ,etc )are obtained from plants or animals.

synthetic fibres are made by human beings. for examples rayon ,nylon, polyester and acrylic. the fibre so obtained are spun into yard and then woven and light into fibre which is used to make clothes.

(i) Rayon

it is obtained from a naturally occurring polymer call the cellulose (extracted from wood pulp ).

uses: it is mixed with cotton to make bed sheet and mixed with wool to make carpets.

(ii)Nylonnylon is a man made fibre. in 1931 ,it was made without using any natural raw material (from plant all animals) but prepared from coal, water and air .

Uses:socks ,ropes ,tents, toothbrushes ,car seat belts, sleeping bags, Curtains, etc are made up of Nylon we can make nylon and for Rock climbing .

(iii) Polyster: - polyester is actually made up of of repeating unit of chemical called Easter Easter are chemicals which give fruit like smell
