ATQ ,

if we give an h+ ion to this organic compound , then the compound loses 1 h+ ion from OH-

Now when adding HBr

1 h+ ion gets added to CH2 , then it becomes CH3

Now from OH , H is gone , so what's left is oxygen gas , which goes to the air

Now what's left if the Br and it gets added to the organic compound and forms the figure in answer no.1
