Mole fraction is a unit of concentration, defined to be equal to the number of moles of a component divided by the total number of molesof a solution. Because it is a ratio,mole fraction is a unitless expression.

=na/na+nb
molesB =number of moles of B/number of moles A
=nb/na+nb
if a substance A Dissolves in substance B and the number if moles are na and nb
=na/na+nb
