By Pythagoras theorem, In MNP
MP^2 = MN^2 + NP^2
MN^2 = MP^2 - NP^2 -------------------(1)
By Pythagoras theorem, In MNO
MO^2 = MN^2 + NO^2
MO^2 - NO^2 = MN^2
MO^2 - NO^2 = MP^2 - NP^2(from (1)).
Hop this helps!
