1.the areas of three adjacent faces of a cuboid are x,y,and z. If its volume is V, then find its volume.
2.the height of a cone is 16cm and its base radius is 12 cm . find the curved surface area and the total surface area of the cone
(take,pai=3.14).
3what is the surface area of cube and cuboid?

Here is Two sums......Based on cone's volume and surface Area...
Curved surface area of a cone ==πrl
volume of cone is =1/3 πr²h
example = 1.
Find the volume of the right circular cone with radius 6cm , height 7cm
sol=
=radius (r) of cone = 6cm
=height(h) of cone= 7cm
=volume of a cone = 1/3 πr²h ( remember the formula)
==here , π=22/7
=>[1/3*22/7*6*6*7] cm³
=>(12*22)cm³
=>264cm³
Therefore, the volume of the cone is 264cm³
example -2.
find the capacity in litre of a conical vessel with radius 7cm , slant height 25cm
Sol.
=radius(r) of cone = 7cm
= slant height(l) of cone = 25 cm
=height (h) of cone = √1²-r²
=> h=√25²-7²=24 cm
=> volume of cone=1/3 πr²h
=>1/3*22/7*7*7*24
=>(154*8)cm³
=>1232cm³
therefore,capacity of the conical vessel
=>(1232/1000) litres. (1 litre= 1000cm³)
=>1.232 Litres.ans.
hope its helps you..
