three times of siales mother's age =22*3
=66
Now, Siales age when her mother's age was 66 yrs=66-22=44

figured it out no worries. x=siale's age y= mum's age x = y-22
y = 3x
x = 3x - 22
x-3x = -22
x = 22/-2 = 11
the secret is substituting and knowing/creating a formula to substitute and calculate the answer
