By using the 1st property of summation series... i. e.,

1+1+1+1+..... Upto n terms is (n)

Applying the above property

1+1+1+1+........upto a terms is( a), - - - -(i)

Similarly...

i+i+i+....... upto b terms is ( ib) - - - - - - -(ii)
