The joy of learning by Jacqueline Cross is a heart touching narrative of a new age teacher Mr. Kaplan.  He changed student's attitude towards social sciences and history by making it an interesting subject.  He used practical techniques so that students learn the concepts of the lessons.  This angers the school management which fires Mr. Kaplan for teaching outside the school curriculum.  All the parents and student cry because he gave them the joy of learning.
