 \sf \: Solution

We have lots of things to prove we'll gonna solve them one by one ::-

In an adjoining figure ∆ ABC ;

1. AB = AC

Since, Angle ADB = Angle ADC [Each 90°]

Therefore, we can draw the conclusion that opposite sides of equal angles are equal.

2. Angle ADB = Angle ACB

[Each 90° or AD ⍊ BC such that ABC is a complete triangle]

3. AD = AD

We know that AB = AC so, opposite angles of equal sides are also equal thus, in ∆ ABC ,, Angle ACB = Angle ABC and thus, AD = AD (O.S.O.E.A) or use the above reason.

4. ABD ≊ ACD [By SAS criteria]

  • AB = AC [S]
  • Angle ABD = Angle ACD [A]
  • AD = AD [S]
