Remainder theorem is actually used to explain the remainder when any polynomial, say p(x) is divided by a linear polynomial, say g(x).

But factor theorem gives the remainder itself and says that, if the remainder is 0, p(x) is a factor of g(x).

HOPE IT HELPS!!!
