Let one part be x. Then the other part would be
(1500-x).
ATQ,
10%*x-8%(1500-x)=60
10x-12000+8x=6000
18x=18000
x=1000
Hence on part is 1000 and the other part is 500

birendrak1975: See 8% can be written as (8/100). So I just multiplied 8 with 1500 to get 12000 and took 100 as LCM. After taking LCM,I multiplied it with 60 which gives 6000.
