15-a→ element G is a noble gas because it has full filled outermost shell.
b→ fluorine is the most electronegative element because it needs an electron to complete its octet.and electronegativity decreases down the group.
c→electronic configuration of B- 2,8,1
electronic configuration of E-2,7
Ans-16→ to determine the group number of an element
1- if it has 1 or 2 valence electrons then its group number will be same as their valence electrons.
2- if it has valence electrons more than 2 then we will add 10 to number of valence electrons and the resulting number will be its group number.
here C has 2 electrons therefore its group number will be 18 because its duet is complete
but A and B have 3 and 4 electrons respectively.
therefore
electronic configuration of 3 = 2,1
its group number will be 1
electronic configuration of 4 = 2,2
its group number will be 2.
valency of element A is +1 , B is +2 and C is 0
hope it helps you
