Step-by-step explanation:

Let length of pole be x m .

Length of pole coloured white = 1/10 = x/10

Length of pole coloured red = 1/20 = x/20

Length of pole coloured green = 1/30 = x/30

Black coloured pole = x - ( x/10+x/20+x/30 )

= x - 11x/60

= 49x/60 m

14.7 m = 49x/60

60(14.7) = 49x

x = 882/49

x = 18m

Thus the length of the pole is 18m.

Length of white part = 18/10 = 1.8m

Length of red part = 18/20 = 0.9m

Length of green part = 18/30 = 0.6m

Length of black part = 14.7 m
