Let the two numbers be x and y

Sum of x and y is 8

I.e x+y=8………..(1)

And their product is 15

I.e xy=15…………(2)

And their reciprocal be 1/x & 1/y

=1/x+1/y

=(y+x)/xy

=(x+y)/xy

=8/15 from (1) & (2)
