Step-by-step explanation:

first take the rationalising factor as 3+ root 7 (we assume this on seeing the denominator and take the opposite sign)

then rationaise using the identities as you are  going to multiply {3+ root 7} to both numerator and denominator

remember root 7 square becomes 7

(√7)² = 7

then finally you will get the result as (16+6√7) / -1

so,

a= 16 / -1 = -16

b√7 = (6√7) / -1

b= -6
