given,

force*displacement =  \sqrt{3}

F*d cosФ= \sqrt{3}/2

cosФ= \sqrt{3}/(2*F*d)

cosФ=1/2

cosФ = cos60

Ф = 60 degree

so Ф/2 = 30 degree

so work done at Ф/2 is

w = F*d*cosФ/2

w =  \sqrt{3}*\sqrt{3}/2

w= 3/2 joule
