AC^2=AB^2+BC^2
AC^2=8^2+15^2
AC^2=64+225
AC^2=289
AC=17cm
17=x+1
x=17-1
x=16

x+1= hypotenuse
hypotenuse = AB^2 + BC^2
x^2+1 =8^2 + 15^2
x^2+1 = 64 + 225
x^2+1 = 289
x+1= 17
x= 17-1=16
