can anyone tell me this contradiction

if 4m is converted into cm it is 400cm and if the same 2x2m is converted into cm it is 40000cm whats that.what the method of doing it.

2m = 200 cm
2m = 200 cm

200 × 200 cm^2

40000cm^2

nancy1973: that's the way bcoz in 1st case it is directly converted to 400cm

nancy1973: but in 2nd case it is converted after being multiplied

Punjabitrap: so when doing a question we should convert it first or multiply first

dipanshudhoundiyal17: the reason behind this is the 4 obtained in the 1st case is from addition and in the srlecond case is from multiplication

nancy1973: u can do as 2 × 2 = 4 m2 and then 4 × 100 × 100

I think you are confused with the dimensions
if its 2×2m then = 4m and hence 400cm
but if you say 2m × 2m that makes 4m (square)
now if you convert 4m(sq) = 40000 cm(sqr).
