Diffraction is a phenomena of Light which we observe in our Nature...

It is a phenomena of light in which light gets bend towards the shadow Region ( Area ) when it passes through the edge of the Obstacle...

According to Corpuscles theory where we study about the particle nature of light as light is a stream of particles and goes straight...But this theory fails to explain the phenomena of light when it passes through the edges of the obstacles it bends towards the darker region rather going straight...

This bending of light towards the darker region is Diffraction of light...This can be explain with the help another nature of light called Wave nature...

Light also shows wave nature as proved by Youngs Double Slit experiment....If we pass light through a single slit then diffraction takes place on the screen which results the Fringes ( Darker and brighter)...
