Yes. Displacement can be equal to distance.
For an object moving on a straight line without change in direction of motion the distance covered by it is equal to its displacement.

But, distance can never be less than displacement.

Heya,

In simple, displacement means,

The minimum distance between the starting and ending point.

Distance means the actual length and path travelled from starting to ending point.

There are completely different from each other as distance is a scalar quantity while displacement is a vector quantity.

But, in some cases they can be qual

i.e, when a body travels along a straight path then distance and displacement are said to be equal.
