can displacement of an object be negative. Give reason??

No it can't be negative.........

Yes displacement can be negative because displacement depends on the direction of the object so if you are moving towards north but you instead start moving towards south then of course your displacement will be negative that's not the case with distance because this change can never be negative but positive or zero I hope you got
