but x=y so dist is 0 so there is no displacement. ... Displacement can be zero but distance cannot be zerobecause distance is the total path covered but displacement is the shortst distance between the initial and final position. It can be zero at the end of one round.

if there is some displacement..then it must have some distance

other case,

if a body has covered zero distance..then it may have 0 displacement..
