Answer:

It is not possible to convert ethonol into ethyl iodide by heating it with NaI and conc. H2SO4. This is because in presence of H2SO4,IΘ (obtained from NaI) easily gets oxidised to form I2.

8NaI+9H2SO4→4I2+H2S+8NaHSO4
