Can Fe3O4 (magnetite)used as a magnet

You can use it but as particles are highly magnetic and stick to the magnetic bead leads to the problem in mixing .........

Its better to use a non magnetic stirrer stirring with external triangular shaft made of teflon so that mixing continues without sticking to teflon
