Hybridization is the formation of linear combinations of s, p and d orbitals.

H3+ ion, also known as Trihydrogen cation has the
most abundant ions in the universe.

The Hydrogen ions in the H3+ ion is arranged like an equilateral triangle at an angle of 60
° with the 2 electrons occupying the lowest energy orbital, and the MO1 is lower than the MO1 for linear H3+.

Apparently,
H3+ is expected to be triangular. This orbital is known to be delocalized over all the 3 atoms with the 3 nuclei bound by a single electron pair.

Therefore, by following the basic arrangement method, the H3+ ion should have a 'sp' hybridization.
