Bal Gangadhar Tilak has been recognized as the Father of Indian

freedom struggle. He was one of the prime architects of modern India. Tilak

was brilliant politician as well as a profound scholar. He was a born rebel

who wore the rebel robe to the end of his life. He was a man of iron will. He

was both a political thinker and a man of action.

Tilak inherited qualities of character and learning from his father and

values of India's cultural heritage from his mother. Certain events and

institutions which had an impact on the development of thought and action

of Tilak were - the selfless functioning of Sarvajanik Sabha; a futile attempt

to overthrow the British Government under the leadership of Wasudeo

Balwant Phadke; ideas of Dadabhai Naoroji on economic exploitation of India

and the careless attitude of the British Government during the famine and

plague. His speeches and writings reflect his profound social and political

ideas which are of immense value to mankind.

hey hope this will hepl you :)
