Can i get points for the topic even after seventy years of independence women have to walk miles together in certain parts of the country to fetch water. there is not only the scarcity of water but water in most places is also contaminated. write an article on the scarcity of clean drinking water in our country.

well, its a matter concern .
70% earth is coverd by water only 2.8% is drinking water rest are saline.

factors:- human activities are sole and most responsible for the water scarcity 
1. lack of proper planning and population
as population increasing day by day need of water is also rising. if an area or region recives rainfall it doesnt penetrate , to earth due to cemented surface . we need a proper ground water recharging system to install at every houehold

2. Dirt,filth,waste(industrial, house hold) are directly discharged to fresh water sources.. we need to educated people and government should take strict action.

3. please practice and tell other not to waste water...

long essay can be written but i feel we need to change and be aware of it.

as process of rain water harvesting and making sea water usable is in progress.. hoping for best.
