Consider a simple nathematical notation, 2³ = 8

This above notation, can be re-written by the general idea of logarithm.

So, what can we write?

We can write log of 8 to the base 2 = 3.

Log is kind of operation of powers. So, the notation of log always directed towards the power of any digit.

log ab = log a + log b.

Therefore, as per this rule,

log 3 + log 5

= log (3×5)

= log 15

Now, there must be something in the question, according to which they had done that. Since, the question is unclear, we are not be able to understand what the book has actually printed.

srinidhimarepally: the question is...... the solution set of (3x)^log3=(5x)^log5 is??

srinidhimarepally: how did log(15) change to log(15^-1) and then to 1/15??
Anonymous: See 15^(-1) means 1/15
Anonymous: But how 15^(-1) is coming that is to show.
srinidhimarepally: hmm thanks
