No ice is not a sublimate substance ie, it cannot change directly from solid to gas.

Of course you can.  You just need to set the pressure at such a point that the solid will directly turn into vapour when you raise the temperature a bit. Or perhaps, maintain the temperature and adjust the pressure so that the solid directly sublimates into vapour.
