Can life evolve into a functioning nonliving form?

No, that is not possible because living beings have life. And, only living thing can give life to other living things through the process of reproduction. Any non-living thing cannot get life in it... for better understanding, eg- machine , furniture, etc cannot evolve life but, living being like animal, plants can reproduce and bring up another living being.. even a dead body cannot get life again ... hope this helps.... all the best and plz mark as thebest if possible... :-)

no absolutely no only living beings reproduce  and it cannot evolve in a non living form
