½ cup = 16/2=8 table spoons

No of table spoons reqd. by Rekha = 8

Ans b) Weight of sugar used by Meenakshi= 2 table spoons

=28.125 grams

B. Ans a) Contribution of younger sister =

a+3/8 a + 3/16 a = 62000

a = Rs 39680

Ans c) Elder sister’s contribution= 3/8 x 39680 = Rs 14880
