Yes rubber is a solid as there is least intermolecular space between the particles. It can change its shape because of the stretchable material it is made up of. But gain after sometime it comes back to its original position and shape. The particles in rubber are packed together and are close to each other

yes, iron is considered as solid...on application of force, even iron changes its shape, similarly rubber is also considered as solid even though its shape can be changed by applying force.
