Can solid be compressed? Give reason

U can compress a solid. But a great force is needed for it. Becoz the molecules in solids are very tightly packed and are close to each other and have no space beetween them.

Some solids can be compressed like- sponge but some solids cant be like- iron because they hv soft and hard nature respectively. Plz mark as the BRAINLIEST answer if helpful.....
