good night.....

(ii) The pituitary gland is called the master gland because it control all other glands present in the body as well as a number of hormones the body has to secrete.

(I) Injury to medulla oblongata results in deathas it controls the activities of theinternal organs..
example-peristaltic movement of the alimentary canal, movement of breathing etc so any injury to it is an injury to the internal organs.

(III) because itcan act either as an endocrine organ or as an exocrine organ. Both of which have different functions.

ENDOCRINE organ it secrets HORMONES that play a role in the control of body metabolites particularly glucose. An example of these hormones would be isulin(which decreases the level of blood glucose by permitting entrance of glucose into cells in the liver and adipose tissue), glucagon(which increases blood glucose by permitting glycogenolysis), and somatostatinwhich inhibits both insulin and glucagon. On the other hand as an EXOCRINE organ, it releases ENZYMES that help in the degradation of the food we eat for more efficient utilization by our cells. To name a few are lipase and amylase.

I hope it's helps u alot..

THANKU.....

Heya!!!!!

Here is your answer !!!!!!!!

Give reason :-)

1. Injury to medulla oblongata results in death because medulla oblongata controls the various internal organs so any damage to medulla oblongata will result in death

2.Pituitary gland is also known as the master gland because its hormones controls other parts of the endocrine gland like for example adrenal gland thyroid gland etc ...

3.Pancreas are also known as exocrine and endocrine because it has function to perform both as a endocrine gland and as well as a exocrine gland

For example - As a exocrine gland ------------>

It secretes pancreatic fluid that contain digestive enzymes that passes to the small intestine These enzymes further helps in breaking of the carbohydrates , lipids , protein in the chyme

As a endocrine gland ---------------------- >

made up of cell clusters called islets of Langerhans ....playing important role in glucose metabolism and regulation of blood glucose level...

Hope it helps :)
