Answer:

if you mean 5/3/2 then

it depends upon what is numerator and what is denominator. I'll give two examples to make you understand what I want to say.

1. divide 5 by 3/2.

we may write our problem as 5/3/2. But in this case, 5 is numerator and 3/2 is denominator. we will solve it like this

5/3/2 = 5 ÷ (3/2)

= 5 x 2/3

= 10/3

2. divide 5/3 by 2.

we may write our problem as 5/3/2. but in this case numerator is 5/3 and denominator is 2. we will solve it like this

5/3/2 = (5/3) ÷ 2

= (5/3)x (1/2)

= 5/6

so, when we come across such fraction, we can ascertain numerator and denominator by looking previous calculation.

however, if you are abruptly given such fraction and no information is available regarding numerator and denominator. we should treat 5/3/2 like 5÷3÷2 and should solve it from left to right which will yield 5/6.

hope you find it helpful.
