first,

area of triangle =

 \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

=

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 12 \times 10

=

 \frac{120}{2}

= 60cm²

according to the question,

area of rectangle = 6(area of triangle)

= 6(60)

= 360cm²

we know that,

area of rectangle =

breadth \:  \times length

=

x \:  \times 40 = 360

x \:  =  \frac{360}{40}

x = 90

hence breadth is 90cm.

hope it helps

have a great day
